Food Access
We believe that every child, adult and senior should have access to familiar, nutritious and sufficient food. Our programs close gaps to food access while strengthening and supporting Sacramento County’s food safety net.
Neighborhood Distributions
We partner with 125 agencies to distribute free food at 195 sites throughout Sacramento County.
CalFresh Outreach
We help eligible community members access CalFresh, California’s name for the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
Partner Agency & Community Engagement
Utilizing financial grants, education and training, we build the capacity of our 125 partner agencies to best reach the communities they serve.
Food for Seniors
We provide low-income seniors over the age of 60 with approximately 30 pounds of free pantry staples each month.
Advocacy
To address the root causes of food insecurity and poverty, we advocate at the local, state and national levels for policy reform and program improvements.
Community Resources
We provide daily essentials and additional services so our neighbors don’t have to make impossible tradeoffs between food and other necessities.
Diapers
We partner with over 70 local agencies to distribute free diapers to families in need.
Immigration Legal Services
We offer low-cost immigration legal services to help eligible individuals navigate the complexities of obtaining lawful status in the United States.
Refugee Resettlement Services
We provide case management and assistance to a limited number of pre-assigned refugees arriving in Sacramento.
SMUD EnergyHELP
In partnership with SMUD, we distribute funds to help keep the lights on for pre-selected customers at risk of having their power disconnected. For more information about SMUD’s financial assistance programs, click here.
